UpToDate: How can I log in?

Log into UpToDate

  1. Start from the SU library database list or a research guide to show UpToDate that you are using SU's subscription.

  2. Use your SU network credentials: the same username/password you use to access Hornet Hub. (Reset your SU password.)

Creating a personal account in UpToDate is optional. 

Although a personal account is not necessary to use the UpToDate database in a browser, you will need one if you wish to use the UpToDate mobile app. You'll first need to open the database in a web browser and create your personal account there. Then you can go to the app on your mobile device and log in with the personal account you created.

  1. Access the database using the library's link (https://libguides.su.edu/UpToDate) and your SU network login.
  2. Click "Shenandoah University User" near the top of the page, then click My Account, then click the link that reads, "Click here to register."
  3. Fill in the form, selecting a username and password.
  4. Once you have created this personal account, you'll use the username and password you selected to log into the app on your mobile device.

If your personal account has lapsed

To regain access to UpToDate, including mobile and remote access, please take a moment to re-verify your affiliation with Shenandoah University by using the library link to access the database in a web browser. Personal accounts have to be renewed every 90 days.

To bypass personal account creation

If you only wish to search or browse UpToDate in your browser without creating a personal account, look for the link to "continue with your search" when you are prompted to create an account.
