How can I use LibKey Nomad to find full-text articles?

Now you can easily access full-text articles while searching. Simply install the LibKey Nomad extension for Chrome or your preferred browser. For a quick overview of how the tool works, watch the video or read the step-by-step directions below.

Step-By-Step Instructions

  1. Go to thirdiron.com/downloadnomad and click the orange button.

  2. Select your browser. Then follow the prompts.

  3. Enter Shenandoah and select it from the list of organizations.

Now Nomad will look for freely available content plus Shenandoah subscription content. As you browse, the Nomad button indicates your access options and if possible, leads to the full article.

It works in PubMed, with Wikipedia references, and on publishers' websites. When Shenandoah doesn't provide the full text, you can still click the Access Options button. If the full text is not available, the button will lead to a page where you can choose to request the article through interlibrary loan.
