How can I get the full text of an article I want to read?

WorldCat Discovery

You can check for access to a complete article by searching in our library catalog, WorldCat Discovery, on the library homepage or most research guides. Enter the article's title and select the matching result.

If Shenandoah provides access to the article, you will see an option to "View Full Text" or "Access Online." When you click to access subscription resources from off-campus, you will be prompted to log in with your SU network account.

If our subscriptions don't include the article, you'll see an option to request the article through interlibrary loan.

If you experience problems with finding a full-text article, one of our librarians will be happy to help you.

LibKey Nomad

For more seamless access to library resources, simply install the LibKey Nomad extension for Chrome, Firefox, or your preferred browser. Then choose Shenandoah University from the list of organizations.

Once the plugin is installed, look for this sign when you're searching publishers' websites, PubMed, Wikipedia, and more:

Button with LibKey nomad logo that reads "Provided by Shenandoah University"

The plugin will display links to both freely available content and subscription content provided by the library. When you click to access subscription resources from off-campus, you will be prompted to log in with your SU account.

If an article is not available through SU's subscriptions, you will have an option to request it through interlibrary loan.
